Outer space might just be an allegory for social “otherness” while alien lifeforms stand-in on crossing borders, pondering, exile, and encounters that probe beyond the familiar. The alien figure epitomizes an archetype often discernible in epic poetry, novels, and books. The pugnacious tension between alienation and integration has always been a paramount matter in our daily living.

Actor Jorge López stars on the cover as our “man who fell to Earth” shot by Michiel Meewis and styled in FW19 Louis Vuitton by Michael Miller. To celebrate the uncanny facets that the human being is compelled to, we’ve dedicated this issue to compile an ample range of visionary heights.

This issue encompasses an extensive range of subjects, spanning from Xenu whistleblower Tony Ortega’s, Aaron Changpo’s futuristic canons of creativity, Christian Stone’s unapologetic designs, Neil Harbisson’s cyborg-edged artistry, to a 101 with dick head alien Robert Maurice. Equally, featuring Spencer Phipps’ ethical practice, Tavares Strachan’s trailblazing rocket science, and finally Walter Van Beirendonck, whose designs further-pin the word ‘lit’ in the brand’s literature.

Many thanks to our Contributing Photographers Adam Peter Johnson, Celeste Galanda, Dean Hoy Hengyi Liang, Jason Lasswell, Jesus Diaz, Kapturing, Manuel Zúñiga, Marc Medina, Nick Gavrilov, Peggy Kuiper, Pepo Fernandez, Reece Owen, Ronald Stoops, Simon, and Valentin Fabre.

FUCKING YOUNG began as an inspirational platform focusing on youthful aesthetics derived from manly hemispheres. Our freedom allowed us to merge established with emerging artists, thus aiding the latter reaching their own public. A synergy that owed most to a passion for the arts has since grown to a state where not only do we promote content created by others, moreover we sponsor and collaborate in birthing such work. Now we also celebrate this community’s creativity with our printed magazine, which intends to better shelter our love and presence in the youthful hemisphere of the current times.
