"There are places that stay on your mind for years – those you’ve been dreaming of seeing for a long time, or those you’ve been to and can’t wait to revisit. Surrounded by pristine nature and home to welcoming locals, St. Moritz is such a place. This second issue of «St. Moritz» magazine rekindles the spirit that makes this iconic mountain town tick, from the sight of the early-morning sun rising above the mountains to the excitement of unwinding with friends after a wholesome day out.
We immerse ourselves in the region’s natural splendour, go behind the scenes at the Festival da Jazz and Tavolata, talk work and play with Margherita Missoni and let loose in St. Moritz’s buzzing nightlife haunts. Via profiles of the most forward-thinking local entrepreneurs and a visit to the eccentric family abode of Susanne and Matteo Thun, the magazine shines a spotlight on the colourful community celebrating elevated living in the town’s famously down-to-earth style. Enjoy exploring St. Moritz in their company."
St. Moritz magazine is a new publication that covers all the news, views and stories from life at the top of the world. From food to fashion, it offers an elevated take on the town’s extraordinary people, culture and lifestyle.
The official publication of St. Moritz takes a fresh look at the refined living, world-class culture, exhilarating sports and pristine natural beauty that can only be found in this mountain metropolis. The launch issue includes a feature on the Snow Polo World Cup St. Moritz; a tour around conceptual artist Rolf Sachs’s sporting Alpine home; a revealing interview with PR maven Karla Otto; all the fashion essentials you need to stay chic and cosy at 1,856 metres above sea level; and much more.
St. Moritz magazine is published by ESTM AG and edited, designed and produced by Winkreative, the global creative agency founded by Monocle editor-in-chief Tyler Brûlé. Inspired by the sense of perspective and clarity of thought afforded by St. Moritz’s lofty position, Winkreative took a unique approach to creating the magazine, with editorial features that convey “Views from the top”, a larger print format, a stacked logotype and art direction that makes the most of the area’s striking light and shadow.
